Buckets! Small plastic buckets!
Several Months ago, Lee gave a presentation at the Girls' Alive! program at church. She chose to us the theme of "filling buckets,” based on the book, "Have You Filled a Bucket Today? A Guide to Daily Happiness for Kids" by Carol McCloud. According to their website, “‘Bucket fillers’ are those who help without being asked, give hugs and compliments, and generally spread their love and good feelings to others.”
To drive the point home, she purchased small little buckets from Oriental Trading, decorated them with smiley faces, and gave one to each girl.
She sent a report of her experience to the folks at www.bucketfillers101.com, and thought no more of it.
Imagine our surprise today, when Lee opened her email newsletter from Bucket Fillers to find that her lesson plan was featured on the front page! WOOHOO!! WAY TO GO, MISS LEE!!!! We're SO proud of you!!!
